Common questions
Is this the real WhatsApp?
Yes. IPCN uses the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API from Meta, so messages arrive in your team's normal WhatsApp. IPCN is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta — it's an integration.
Is it safe? What about patient data?
WhatsApp is used only for practice admin — leave, rotas, compliance, notices — never for patient or clinical data. It's opt-in for each person, governed per practice, and anything sent is used only to complete that task and never shared or marketed.
Does everyone have to use it?
No. It's off by default and each staff member opts in themselves, only once a manager has enabled it for the practice. Anyone can turn it off at any time, and email stays as the backstop.
