Common questions
Does it work across a whole PCN, not just one practice?
Yes. IPCN is built for PCNs and the practices within them, so you can rota staff across every site and shared estate on one calendar, while each practice keeps its own view.
Can staff pick up open shifts themselves?
Yes. When a shift is open, eligible and available staff are notified by WhatsApp or email and can self-book. The first to accept takes it and the rota updates for everyone.
Will it stop me booking someone who can't work?
It won't offer anyone who is on leave, already booked, or whose DBS, registration or mandatory training has lapsed. Managers can override with a clear reason when they need to.
How is overtime handled?
Contracted hours are tracked separately from overtime and bank, and every open shift shows its cost, so the pay and finance picture is always visible.
